BOUNDARY & GARDEN FENCING

Asbestos Fence Removal Auckland

Asbestos-cement fencing is still present around many Auckland properties. Weathering, impact, vegetation and earlier DIY work can leave sheets cracked or fragments in nearby soil. PropertyHelp Ltd removes bonded asbestos fence panels using a site-specific plan that considers neighbours, pets, children, shared boundaries and the route used to move wrapped waste from the property.

WHAT WE CAN ASSESS

Removal planned around the property.

Every asbestos project needs a scope based on the identified material, its condition and the work that will disturb it. PropertyHelp reviews the available survey information and confirms whether the proposed work is suitable for a Class B removal method.

OUR APPROACH

A controlled process from planning to disposal.

01

Inspect both sides

We assess access, neighbouring property interfaces, vegetation, sheet condition, posts and visible fragments.

02

Isolate the boundary

The work zone, ground protection and waste route are established, with neighbour coordination where access is required.

03

Dismantle panels

Panels are dampened where appropriate and released carefully to reduce breakage before being wrapped and labelled.

04

Check the fence line

The immediate area is visually checked and cleaned, and agreed debris is collected for disposal.

SITE-SPECIFIC DETAILS

What can affect the job.

Access, material condition, height, neighbouring properties and other trades can change the controls and programme. We identify these issues before work starts and explain what is included in the quotation.

  • Written neighbour permission may be needed for access
  • Dense planting can conceal damaged fragments
  • New fencing is a separate scope unless arranged
  • Extensive contaminated soil requires appropriate assessment and planning

COMMON QUESTIONS

Helpful answers before you begin.

Can the fence stay if it is undamaged?

Bonded asbestos in sound condition can sometimes be managed in place. Consider its condition, future work and the likelihood of impact or deterioration.

What happens to the old fence?

Asbestos waste is wrapped, labelled, transported and disposed of through an authorised waste facility.

Do you remove broken pieces in the garden?

We can include visible bonded fragments and a defined affected area in the quote. Widespread contamination may need further investigation.

Important: Do not drill, sand, cut, scrape or break suspected asbestos. If material is damaged, keep people away and seek competent advice.
